Colour. Layers. Texture.

Seeing, creating and exploring differently. One piece at a time.

My art is a kaleidoscope of bright, contrasting colours. It is bold, unapologetic, and continuously evolving, pushing boundaries and conventions. If my art were a music genre, it would be like jazz or hip-hop, always changing thanks to my love of improvisation, experimentation, and creativity. Recurring themes in my work include the natural world, storytelling, and commentary on social and political issues, all united by my love of colour, type, layers, and textures. My process begins with an initial spark of inspiration that I play around with in my sketchbook. This evolves into a finished piece, incorporating a dynamic fusion of mediums and processes, including drawing, painting, and printmaking, especially letterpress and lino. Often, the message I want to convey dictates the medium I use.

Through my art, I aim to evoke an emotional connection in the viewer, prompting them to ask questions or react. For me, the purpose of art is to conveying messages, emotions, and offering a different perspective - It's about seeing, creating, and exploring differently.

My active interest in the history of art and design undoubtedly influences my work. I am particularly inspired by historical art and design movements that occurred during periods marked by significant social or technological changes.

"Last year I saw the 'Cambridge' print at Cambridge Open Studios and loved it, but didn't buy it. Every few weeks I kept thinking about it, loved the colour and the textured look of the printing, I just kept thinking about it.
When we'd finished renovating our kitchen I messaged to see if the piece was still available. So happy it was.
Purchasing online was incredibly easy, and it arrived the next day. The packaging was beautifully thoughtful, with some lovely extra surprises inside. I can't wait to get it framed and on the wall."
